Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program provides funding for students who are dually enrolled at a participating eligible public or private high school, or home study program in Georgia, and a participating eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia. These students take postsecondary coursework for credit towards both high school graduation or home study completion and postsecondary degree, diploma, or certificate requirements. The program is offered during all terms of the school year.
Fulton County Schools has set consistent deadlines for all students who are applying to participate in the DE program. All Chattahoochee High School students must adhere to these deadlines even though they may differ from the college deadlines.
March 31st - Summer & Fall Deadline
Student must complete the steps outlined as Assignments in Microsoft Teams and Apply to the College of their choice by this date.
November 1st - Spring Deadline
For students who did not take Fall classes and would like to enroll in the spring semester, they must make sure the Microsoft Teams tasks are completed no later than November 1st. If they miss the deadline, they will not be able to complete DE classes in the spring semester. Keep in mind it can be difficult to switch a schedule midway through the year. It is best for students who want to do DE to get started in the Fall term.
Who can participate in DE?
- Students enrolled in a GA public or private high school
- Students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades (depending on college)
- Auburn University - "Auburn First" program: 11th - 12th graders (does not qualify for State of Georgia Dual Enrollment funding).
- GSU: 11th and 12th graders only
- Ga Tech: 10th - 12th, but 10th must meet GSFC testing regulations.
- Gwinnett Tech: 10th - 12th, not available for first time freshman.
- Students must meet the DE admissions requirements at selected postsecondary institutions
- Meet high school requirements specific to Fulton County
- Must not have already received a high school diploma
- No residency or citizenship requirement
IMPORTANT:
10th graders who want to take an academic subject must provide documentation to GSFC about their test scores and meet the requirements. Otherwise, only Career Tech Electives are allowed for 10th graders.
How do I send my test scores to Georgia Student Finance Commission?
- Email ACT/SAT score reports to GSFC at dualenrollment@gsfc.org.
- Student should first, sign, date, and write the statement, “this is a true and exact copy of the original score report” directly on the report.
- The body of the email must provide:
- student’s full name
- high school of attendance
- date of birth (DOB)
- last four of digits of the Social Security Number (SSN)
Am I a Good Fit for DE?

- Meets college DE admissions requirements
- Can follow through on multi-step tasks
- Self-motivated
- Self-starter
- Mature
- Organized
- Takes initiative
- Responsible
